P.E.A.C.E. Missions

P.E.A.C.E. is an acronym that stands for the solutions to the five global giants. These giants can be found in every country including our own.
The first giant is spiritual emptiness and P. stands for "promoting healthy churches and reconciliation”.

Next is selfish leadership which we find in government, business, and even our homes. E. stands for "equipping leaders”.

Poverty is another giant and A. stands for "Assist the poor”.

Illness and Disease impacts everyone around the world and the solution is C. “Care for the sick”

Finally, Illiteracy is a huge giants that is resolved by E. “Educating the next generation"

Below are the ways we address the giants here at Capital at our local P.E.A.C.E center and in Ghana.

The P.E.A.C.E. Center

Here at the P.E.A.C.E. Center, our goal is that every person that visits the Center develops a personal relationship with Jesus. We hope to tear down spiritual, physical, and mental barriers by speaking life through the Holy Spirit into every person who comes through our doors.

Objectives

The objective here at the P.E.A.C.E. Center is to connect people in 3 ways.

    1 - To God
    2 - To other people
    3 - To resources

Did you know?

Did you know the PEACE Center has a Fred Meyer Community Rewards Account? People can attach their cards to our community account and Fred Meyer matches rewards! This does not take away your rewards, Fred Meyers will simply match it to help support the P.E.A.C.E. Center with resources for things like the food pantry, resource fairs, and other special events.
The below link gets people the directions to link their card to The P.E.A.C.E. Center.

Global Missions

Global

Capital Christian adopted the nation of Ghana for our global missions.
We have several P.E.A.C.E initiatives that include libraries to educate the next generation, clean water, and medical / C.P.R. training.

Ghana Books

we have sent over 100 libraries of donated books to Ghana over the past five years.
Each library we call “A library on a pallet” because on each pallet we send approximately 2000-2500 books for all ages: children, youth, and adults.
To host a library, a school or church must have a lockable room to secure the library, bookshelves, desks to study, and be open for their community.

Each week, volunteers meet in Tenino to process the books.

If you would like to donate, you can bring them to Capital and drop them off in one of our P.E.A.C.E. wagons in the foyer or you can drop them off at our Tenino location. We except most books and send educational, story, bibles and Christian study books, leadership and development books. We do not send books that do not reflect Christian values.

Medical Fellowship

We host monthly meetings for medical professionals in our community so they can support one another. We offer at least one medical trip each year to go to Ghana. in 2024 a team of 9 served over 800 patients and offered in partnership with local medical professionals dental, mental health, pediatrics, eye exams and glasses, general, lab and pharmacy, and C.P.R. training

Kenya Fellowship

We learned there are many that attend Capital and are from Kenya. We have a monthly fellowship group for them too.
