For those of us with children in school chances are you have spent the last few weeks trying to get acclimated to the new routine that September brings.  Bed time hours move back and wake up hours move up and the hustle and bustle of getting out the door each morning is enough to leave you wondering how long before summer again. And while the first few weeks of getting  back to some sort of routine can be grueling, with September comes the opportunity to get back on track to some good habits.  These good habits can range from getting enough rest, to doing homework, to establishing a family dinner hour, and do I dare say without the television on?  But another important habit to get back on track with is attending church together as a family.

As the children’s pastor of CCC I get the opportunity to interact with many children and I have noticed children who come on a consistent basis with their families tend to feel more at ease with teachers and have an easier time establishing friendships with others in their classes.  So as you settle into your new routine this fall make attending church as a family part of your regular weekly schedule and you will be back on track in no time.
